Extending independence for those who matter most.

Household Matters can make a difference in the lives of people who…
Experience difficulty getting around the house.
Feel overwhelmed by the tasks of everyday living.
Suffer from isolation because of aging or illness.
Support aging parents and young children simultaneously.
Struggle with household chores once shared by a spouse or partner.
Need transportation for frequent appointments.

What Is Household Matters?
Household Matters is a service that helps you and your family explore the modifications that are needed to your home environment and daily routine that will allow continued independent living. This service involves a Home Survey and Family Interview conducted by a Matters of Life™ provider. The survey will identify overlooked home safety concerns, and the interview will bring together family members, and others involved in your daily activities, to discuss their roles. Your Matters of Life™ provider will then create an action plan to support continued aging-in-place. The complete report will contain the results of the survey, interview and action plan. It will also contain a summary of household concerns along with social support recommendations, including transportation, companionship and care.

Our Matters of Life™ Providers Will:

An existing home environment, although suitable yesterday, may not address the needs of today or tomorrow. That is why the Household Matters service is available now, or in the future should circumstances change. Our services can also be prepaid contingent upon the death of a spouse or partner in order to provide more support to the surviving family member. Contact your Matters of Life™ provider today to find out how.
